Circa 1885 antique sliding pocket door mortise latch, complete and working with strike and plates for both sides of door. Mortise latch has matching Windsor pattern face and strike still showing some original brass plating. Latch has drop catch and round finger pull to pull door out of pocket and recessed oval ornate cast iron operators in the latch. Plates have oval openings to allow access to catch operators from either side of the door. The two flush mount escutcheon plates are in ornate cast iron Windsor pattern also and have been cleaned. Plates are 4 7/8″ high x 2 1/8″ wide and flush mount on the door surfaces. Well cast and marked with the Reading Hardware logo. Complete and working for a single pocket sliding door.
