RAILROAD CAR BRASS SLIDING DOOR HANDLE WITH LOCK. Here is a great piece of railroad hardware! A real train car sliding door handle with lock. The entire mechanism appears to be in full working order. The handles on both sides of the lock rotate slightly in either direction to engage and disengage the latch mechanism on both sides. On one side of the assembly above the handle is a spring loaded cover for the key hole that operates properly. I do not have a key that would go with it. The entire piece weighs 8 lb. The flat plates on each side measure approximately 10″ by 3″. The handles are 5″ X 2 1/2″. There is no manufacturing information on the outside of the assembly. On the inside of the top of one of the panels are the numbers “1125″ and below that in a semi-circle are what appear to be the letters “I I & CO”.
